When going on holiday, you need to ensure that your home is as secure as possible. Unfortunately many break ins occur when people are away from the home whether it be for a night or a fortnight. O one ones to come home from a trip to find that they have been broken in to, so you need to try and prevent a break in.

When going away consider if anyone is going to be coming in or out of the house. If they are, then you may want to ask them to vary the times so it is not obvious that they are only coming to check on the house or feed the fish for example. If someone is planning a break in often the watch the house for a while to see what times it is empty.

You could also invest in some timer switches that will switch your lights on and off in the house at different times to make it look like people are moving around within the home.
